The voice, with words and beyond the words

Singing- Telling

The practice of singing doesn’t come from any musical education.

It come from the action of walking alone. Being in a journey.

It comes frome the exageration of the speech, its extension. (read more, first year ensapc, delprat, peter brook)

It could as well arise when i am isolated from the outside world or could be completly emerging while i am waiting the bus for instance.

The commun point is that at these moments, i let go my mind of planning, thinking, doing. I am in a middle place where senses are awake and aware. In between past and futur, in the present moment.

It is simple. It is just a moment of abandon as we experimente everyday just before falling asleep or just before waking up.

I started to improvise singing like that saying vocals, sounds, onomatopés, syllabus..

Teenagers I wanted to become a singer and dancer. Unfortunatly, i found the place which desappointed me and frustrated me so much that i forget completely that wish.

So, I decided to go back to my first intention : to become an artist and direct my education towards the entrance in a Fine arts school. (read more, pablo picasso)

My singing voice came back during a singing improvisation in an evening drama  class while my third year of Fine Art (read more, studio 34).

Then, I began to build my own languague of sound

I produced an kind of repertoire that I called “Inhale’s songs” and from this chants I started to transforme them and manipulate them in sound softare to compose some sort of choir with my own single voice. I called them in french Chœur à coeur which mean litteraly Heart against Choir. But in french Heart and Choir sound the same. There is only a ‘h’ that make the difference in the reading.

L’écriture d’un corps par le mouvement dansé, chanté ou parlé

Inside this word, a more complexe world emerge.

I also write and by writing, I try to acces to a world where the meaning could also be beyond the words, as the chant of my improvisation languague still vibrate.
